Information Technology Intern

Your responsibility:

As an IT intern at tiko, you have a unique opportunity to develop your skills further in several IT areas, with the help of the latest technologies and strong mentorship from your senior colleagues. The exact tasks and job profile for this position will be tailored based on your personal motivation, curiosity, and previous experience. We have several IT fields that you can discover, or alternatively deep dive into one of them more thoroughly. These include:

  • Provide day-to-day support for end-user requests related to hardware, software, networking equipment, and AV
  • Knowledge Management – document standard operating procedures
  • Administration of Microsoft 365 tools
  • Manage and support mobile devices
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Assist in hardware and software inventory management
  • Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software
  • Handle IT infrastructure administration tasks such as account & email creation and ordering of IT equipment
  • Create incident tickets and support the initial investigation of incidents to prevent future occurrences
  • Learn and employ an understanding of security best practices
  • Employ a customer service approach and present information about technical issues clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Your profile:

  • You’re in the final phase of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a similar field
  • Familiar with Windows 10/11, Mac OS, and Linux OS
  • Knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, and access points
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team
  • Demonstrate interest in ICT, Cyber Security, and DevOps
  • You are flexible and open to working on different tasks
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • You are organized with a problem-solving mindset
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • English fluency is mandatory, French fluency is an advantage
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland or Swiss/EU citizenship
  • Duration of the internship: 6/9 months
  • Starting date: May/June.
